Excellent commentary, thank you! Most of the sane people have strong reservations about the ICE tactics but I have a hard time seeing how ICE raids completely dominate the narrative. Our governor and Chicago mayor are constantly in a spotlight as part of the “resistance movement.” No one talks about the forever growing annual budget crises fueled by pension costs. The current mass protests are not fueled by impotent corrupt Illinois politicians that have been failing the state for years. Are the masses willfully blind or masterfully misled?
Thank you for the this. When I first heard of 'Midway Blitz' I too thought of the Battle of Midway and the Nazi tactic of the blitzkrieg. I had to remind myself about what happened at Midway, but your article does a wonderful job of synthesizing the Pacific battle and our present situation.
Thank you for your thoughtful commentary. I am of the opinion that the co-dependent escalation allows the President, Chicago’s Mayor, and our Governor activate opposing citizens while avoiding addressing more difficult and more important issues. It is also a distraction from their errors in governance and integrity.

Thank you for your thoughtful article, it is very straight up.
Best summary of the situation I've read yet, with some great historical perspective. Thanks.

Just yesterday, ICE found 7 missing children in a warehouse being held against their will…
Have you a source for this, other than a questionable FB post?
A well balanced and thoughtful article, worthy of Admiral Nimitz.
